Number of HSDPA Users Reaches 50 Million

The London-based mobile technology group, GSM Association, has recently revealed that the number of people that are using mobile broadband has reached a whopping 50 million. That, by the way, is almost 4 times more mobile broadband users than there were a year ago (11 million back then). Unbelievable. But exciting!

Considering we are just touching the tip of the iceberg in terms of mobile broadband (HSDPA) technology and what it can (really) do, this level of growth will more than likely continue. There has even been talk that by the time the year wraps up, HSDPA connections are expected to have grown at the rate of 4 million a month.

It has also been predicted that HSDPA is set to be the leading technology in the mobile broadband arena – which is entirely possible if the current rate of growth is anything to go by.
