Following the recent introduction of Mobile Wifi, Three are now offering the Huawei E5830 Mifi 3G wireless modem free of charge to customers who sign up to an 18 month mobile broadband contract.
What Is Mifi?
Mifi is short for mobile-wifi. Mifi devices connect wirelessly to the 3G network and then up to 5 users can share this connection just like a Wi-fi hotspot. Mifi is useful when more that one person needs to use the internet. A Mifi device at home could be more useful than a 3G USB dongle if there are multiple Wifi devices that need internet access. Many gadgets these days come equipped Wifi connectivity including games consoles like the Playstation, XBox and Wii, digital cameras, the iPhone and other smartphones, you can even buy a fridge with Wifi.
New 3 Mifi Deals
The new mobile wifi deals with 3 come in either 1GB or 5GB monthly download limits, and are priced at £12/month and £15/month resepectively. In order to qualify for the free Huawei E5830 Mifi wireless modem, customers must sign up for an 18 month contract.
If you don’t want to commit for this length of time, 3 mobile broadband offers a a 1 month contract option and also a pay as you go Mifi deal but you have to buy your own Mi-fi wireless modem.

I think mobile broadband is brilliant. You can check your emails on the way to work, keep up-to-date with news and current affairs, then when you get bored you can do some networking and contact friends! I read an article that said the UK was cheaper than a lot of Europe, too.
