E160 USB Modem Half Price Offer
02 have just announced that their prepay dongles will be half price in the run up to Christmas this year. 02, which has the largest number of mobile subscribers in the UK, have cut the price of the Huwaei E160 USB Modem to £14.67, making this little dongle a great last minute Christmas stocking filler.
The E160 dongle comes in white, or shocking pink for the ladies. It’s a Plug and Play device with automatic software installation so you can connect straight away. It has a Micro SD memory card slot built in and comes with a free 2GB memory card. This is handy for transferring photos and videos from your phone to the computer.

Seems like the greatest roadblock to wider Mobile Broadband usage are the roaming charges. I have tried using MobilityPass and have found that because of the roaming charges within the EU it’s just un-affordable to leave my home country and use my MobilityPass dongle. Now we have a common currency (mostly) within the EU why can’t we use a SIM card issued, in say, Spain and use our mobile telephones and broadband modems anywhere within the EU without roaming charges?
