Virgin Media Launches Super-Fast HSDPA Mobile Broadband

Download speeds of 7.2Mbps are now possible through Virgin Media, as they have launched a new dongle which can access the new technology from the most up to date transmission towers.  The company has also offered plans in which the dongle comes out free to customers with an 18 month, 1-3GB package.

They also have a 2 month flexible tariff as an alternative to the 18 month plan in which you could rent or purchase the dongle after the plan ends.  The advertised speeds are a measurement of the maximum possible speed but most users will experience anywhere from 2-4Mbps for normal browsing/download speeds.

The cost of the Virgin HSDPA dongle unit will range from either £25 or £50 with the latter going for any plan other than the 1GB rolling contract.  Virgin Media claims that mobile broadband is the best way of staying connected while on the move and out of reach of wireless or other home connections.

The technology is available now and ready to take advantage of by anyone who is on the move and ready for super-fast internet on wherever they please to be.  It is very important to look up your coverage and area by running a postcode search before signing up.
