You need to pay for most of these by the amount you download.

You can buy a dongle and then buy a usage allowance. If you don’t use it, you lose it. You can buy an allowance that lasts a month though I have seen other usage allowances that last a year. Maplin Electronics has some on-line deals from ’3′ that last a year and include a dongle.

You can get various different packages

I have a contract “Dongle” so I have to fork out dosh each month.

There are PAYG dongles which you pay for example £10 for 1Gb of use then have to top-up to use again

Ye you can just buy a pay as you go dongle and it will operate like a phone when you use are your credit. you just top it back up i have one of these and i think this is the best way to go really.

Ya, but it is like first you have to pay for the hardware you want to purchase and than monthly charges according to plan

You can buy the dongle separate and top-up ….B4 buying the dongle I would make sure that they ( O2,Vodafone,Three etc) actually works in your area …You need to find out if your area is covered by 3G ….
