Question by cayce365: Mobile broadband as well as landline broadband?
I have a normal landline connection which gets very slow sometimes for streaming video/downloading etc and was wondering if I bought a mobile broadband dongle if firstly I could have 2 connections on the same pc, also could it speed things up at peak times?

No it wouldn’t speed things up.You’d use one or the other to do your downloading/streaming-2 connections as you describe wouldn’t make your connection faster. You can have a mobile dongle installed on your pc as well as your broadband connection, though, but due to experience, your b/band connection will probably be a lot faster than the dongle, and if you use the dongle to download,it will take a lot longer.

you can’t use both simultaneously, however, one way people kill their download speed on adsl modems (phoneline modems) is by using telephone extension leads, or low quality rj11 (filter to modem) long lead, if you have done this, get yourself a high speed rj11 lead of suitable length
no you cant have both connections
either 1 or the other but not both at the same time
you can use a mobile broadband but it will be slower than your landline
