The iPhone is capable of many functions, most of which Apple like . There are a few that Apple doesn’t talk about and really don’t want you to know about. Here are the top 5 functions  the they try to hide.

5 iPhone functions that Apple don’t want you to know about

1. Device Firmware Update (DFU) mode or Hard Restart

This function enables you to wipe everything off your iPhone and choose which version of software you want on your device. This is the first step for jail breaking your iPhone or putting Android or Linux your your phone. For this reason Apple really don’t want you to know how to do it! (Press home and sleep button  at the same time, then release sleep button until the screen goes black)

2. Jail Breaking

To jailbreak your iPhone put it into DFU mode, choose which version of iPhone software you want ,upload some software (google ‘jailbreak software’) let that do it’s thing. Once this is done you’ll be able to use your iPhone on any network, download torrents, watch films, listen to music without iTunes etc. Jail breaking basically turns your iPhone into a mini computer!

3. Talk and Surf

Google has a very cool app which allows you to  speak the web address you want to surf into your iPhone, and it’ll load it for you. Apple don’t want you to know about this because it’s not their app!

4. Phone Codes

The iPhone is a Phone! This means you can use certain codes to access certain features of the cellular network you are on. They usually look something like this  *#000#. Correct use of these codes can gives you free calls and lads of other goodies.  Double check what network you are on and what Country you are in because these codes can vary wildly.

5. Show  iPhone Recording Everything – Tracker App
app and apps like it track what information the iPhone records  about where you are and what you doing. Similar apps show hidden files which record this data. and which pass it on to apple! Yes that is right Apple is collecting data  on who you are, what you’re doing and where you’re going, pretty scary eh? Apple  really don’t want you to know to get rid of this information.

There you go, 5 things that  Apple really genuinely don’t want you to know. How to jail break and view what your iPhone is recording about you  are particularly sensitive for Apple.
