The GSM Association (GSMA) has predicted that mobile broadband will achieve speeds of up to 100Mbps in certain parts of the world as early as 2010. Known as Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology, GSMA forecasts that Japan and South Korea could be the first recipients, followed by Europe in 2012.
